Our Ministries

Children

We believe that children’s ministry is a vital part of Faith Baptist Church, as children themselves are a vital part of our church. Just like adults, children are made in the “Image of God” (Genesis 1:27) and are loved supremely by God. Because of the value of children in the sight of God, children’s ministry should not be “babysitting” but rather the joyful sharing of the character of God and the gospel of Jesus Christ. Children elementary school-aged and younger have Sunday School programs, Faith Kidz (children’s church), and Awana (Wednesdays during The Prayer Gathering) at Faith Baptist Church designed for their knowing God more.

Youth

In arguably the most formative season in a person’s life, each teenager needs God to properly make sense of the society evolving around them. At Faith, we deny the world’s view that teens cannot make a difference in the world (1 Timothy 4:12). God intends to use middle schoolers and high schoolers for his purpose, and because of that we are intentional about coming alongside them to promote their thriving in Christ. The youth group meets Sunday morning at 9:30 for Sunday School and Wednesdays at 7 during The Prayer Gathering.

College & Career

We believe that college students have the power to change the world for Christ at our church, on their campus, and abroad. Because of this, our college and career ministry is wide-reaching, with a weekly Bible study for the students of Wilmington College and Cedarville University. (Contact Us for more information). College students intermingle with the adults in all of our church meetings.

Women

The Women’s ministry meets regularly for an off-site Bible study focused on interpersonal relationships and discipleship. We recognize that no woman can thrive without the Word of God and community with other believers, so we emphasize those two things in our pursuit of knowing God.

Men

At Faith, we go against society’s weak, passive view of the modern man. True manhood is not a “macho masculinity” nor is it a passive aloofness. Rather, it is following the example of Christ in being humble, gentle, and loving. When we lead, we do it in a sense of honor, “giving up childish ways.” (1 Corinthians 13:11). We fellowship together as we pursue Christ together. We meet monthly for a Saturday-morning breakfast.

Young at Heart

Even in the later stages of life, following God never stops. The “Young at Heart” meet regularly in fellowship and community in Jesus Christ.
